RUFUS COES STATEMENT

I moved to Phippsburg, Maine to paint full-time about thirty years ago. Over the next twenty years I exhibited my work at galleries, juried exhibitions and one-man shows throughout the northeast. In the past ten years I have completed a substantial body of oil and watercolor paintings which have not yet been exhibited publicly. My subjects are the places and things I see everyday here in Phippsburg.
